WEDDING STATIONARY SYSTEM

Perhaps the most joyous and daunting project a designer can ever undertake would be designing for their own wedding. Still in the infancy of my design career but knowing full well that this will be sent to everyone important to my wife and I, it was imperative that it kicked ass. The bird image is one that both myself and my wife have tattooed on our bodies. So I based my design around this as its a special image that we are both tied to. Green and Yellow were decided upon as perfect summer colors for our June wedding. I worked in and out of the negative spaces that the birds provided and tried to create something that people had to interact with rather then just read and throw away. You have to turn the invite around to read the entire message, interact with the design itself as well as respond to instructions to cut the map off of the RSVP and circle the thumbs-up or the thumbs-down. This was a really fun project and I certainly hope to do more of this work for future lovebirds. My good friends at Night Owls Print shop in Houston, screen printed these for us and even threw in some koozies for us to give away to our guests. No one likes warm beer...or soda.
