UNPLUGGED AT THE GROVE

This work was done while interning at Emmis Communications. Unplugged at the Grove is a yearly music event that KGSR programs at Austins' venerable south side hippy hangout, Shady Grove. The creative I was given by the station managers was 'vintage' + 'contemporary'. After about 60 different ideas were explored this was selected as the final. Oddly enough an earlier version of this design was featured on the first set of drafts that I submitted. It's all about process though, sometimes you have to make 100 sketches to realize the first one you did is the best idea. All Print and Web material featured this Logo.
